the email 是单数。Email 后面如果加S，那才是复数。例句：
1，The email is from a friend of mine who is living in Australia. (Email 在这里是单数）
2，The emails are from a friend of mine who is living in Australia, I didn't check my mailbox for two days, that's why the friend of mine sent two emails to me for an urgent matter.
